Jennifer started working as a veterinary assistant here at Greenfield Animal Hospital in August of 2020. She received her B.S. degree in Marine Biology with concentrations in Applied Mathematics and Animal Behavior from the University of New England in May of 2020.
Since September of 2016 she has had several internships working with animals where she has maintained feeding schedules for marine organisms and reptiles, assisted in target training and feeding elasmobranchs, assessed water quality in a variety of tanks, and gone into the field to acquire resources needed for laboratory research.
The part of her role that she enjoys the most is she is able to learn more and able to help clients on a daily basis. Being around animals all day and having the opportunity to learn is what Jennifer loves the most about Greenfield Animal Hospital. Veterinary medicine allows her to understand different aspects of a variety of animals and their needs.
To her, the most challenging part of vet medicine is seeing animals in pain and suffering. At home Jennifer has 2 golden retrievers named Libby & Maple and 2 cats named Annabelle & Edward.
